Aleksandr "Sasha" Litvinov
Counsel

sasha@skclassactions.com   (617) 202-3409

Sasha is an ardent trial lawyer, advisor, and problem solver. Prior to joining Smith Krivoshey as Counsel, Sasha spent a decade advising and defending corporations with a primary focus on employment litigation and compliance. Sasha has worked at some of the world’s largest corporate law firms and employment boutiques, and successfully represented industry giants such as Amazon, FedEx, Uber, Kroger, and Humana. After years in the trenches with corporations and their insurance adjusters, Sasha developed a deep understanding of their litigation strategies and how they value claims.

Today, Sasha wields his hard-earned knowledge and skill to protect the public at large from corporate wrongdoing. In addition to class claims on behalf of consumers, Sasha represents workers whose rights have been violated by their employers on an individual and class basis. As a Ukrainian refugee circa 1994, former minimum wage restaurant cook, and all-around empath, Sasha gets immense fulfillment from using his legal powers to help America’s working class fight their Goliaths.

Sasha has successfully litigated harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims, wage and hour claims, employment-related torts, and contract claims. He has handled administrative actions before the EEOC, state civil rights agencies, and state labor departments, and enjoys working on administrative and judicial appeals. His scope of expertise includes issues arising under the ADA, ADEA, Title VII, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, FCRA, WARN and RIFs, OSHA, and state equivalents. He also has experience with workplace drug testing, background checks, compensation, independent contractor misclassification, joint employer issues, and restrictive covenants such as non-competes and non-disclosure agreements.

In law school, Sasha was a Presidential Merit Scholar and member of The George Washington University International Law Review, Moot Court Board, and Mock Trial Board. Sasha received the Best Brief Award for his 2L brief regarding whether Title VII protects individuals from discrimination because of gender identity. While at GW, Sasha authored a published journal article regarding Europe’s legal treatment of burgeoning Internet technology and privacy of personal data. Prior to law school, Sasha earned an undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Louisville, where he developed a love for mathematics and the scientific method, and the critical thinking skills which have served him well throughout his legal career.

Sasha shares his life with his wife, toddler, and two dogs. When he’s not fighting for workers’ and consumer rights, he enjoys learning to cook dishes from myriad cultures and ethnic sources, riding around on two wheels, and playing covers from all manner of genres on drums and guitar.
